My 3 yr old son got this train for Christmas. He loves it! Had no problems with the remote and it is very easy for him to play with. It goes in forward and reverse with ease, even with him moving it back and forth as fast as he can. Only problem is that it doesn't have a lot of track with it. Can someone write a review and post where you can find more track and what type of track this train uses?
This train set is tons of fun! The track can be set up in a few different ways, it offers a fun little cargo crane to load and unload boxes, has fun noises and lights and best of all I enjoy it too! My daughter is 2 1/2 and between her 3 year old friend and her they play with this for hours! My 7 month old loves to watch them play with it. The Engine train has an infrared sensor and I suspect that some of the users who had trouble with this train didn't follow the rule that the remote has to be pointed at the sensor on the train or it may not respond, just like if you point your remote at your cat your tv may not turn on.
The tracks are a little difficult to snap together but they stay in place quite well. I only with I could find more trains and track to add to it! I highly recommend this for any parent of a young child interested in trains!
